Unlike many of his contemporaries, Andrew started his career by studying fashion design and pattern cutting. He left college with a ‘Best Fashion Student of the Year’ award and after a period employed in the fashion industry, he joined Yorkshire Television’s regional programmes in 1990 as a stylist and costume assistant.

Subsequently he has worked on a wide range of projects and over the last seven years has focused on designing a mix of feature films, television drama and entertainment shows as well as styling for several music artists.

His experience has been gained from working all over the UK, Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and in the Far East, and to quote ‘Variety’ on Nick Love’s ‘The Business’ ‘costume design by Andrew Cox is right on the money’.
